A legacy of compassion, innovation, and unwavering commitment to transforming the lives of dogs across India.
VOSD is an integrated canine welfare & veterinary infrastructure built for India and designed for national scale. VOSD is India’s largest and most advanced canine institution operating at the intersection of veterinary medicine, technology, public health, and enterprise infrastructure. VOSD is a structured social enterprise, unlike any NGO or veterinary chain or pharma manufacturer, because it is built as a fully integrated ecosystem.
VOSD exists to solve a uniquely Indian challenge at a national scale: to deliver lifetime, accountable care to street and abandoned dogs while building financially sustainable, high-quality veterinary infrastructure for companion animals. VOSD does this through a unique, vertically integrated model that combines philanthropy, medical science, operations, architecture, and technology.

VOSD is not a single vertical. It is an ecosystem.
At the core of VOSD is a simple principle: every dog matters, every case deserves accountability, and every life deserves dignity.
Unlike episodic rescue by NGOs or treatment by veterinary hospitals, VOSD is structured around lifetime responsibility.
VOSD operates through a carefully designed corporate and governance framework that separates philanthropy, medical commerce, and marketplace infrastructure, while aligning all activity around canine welfare.
VOSD Trust is the parent charitable institution registered in 2012-13 and operating under 12A, FCRA, and Darpan registration frameworks.
Programs operated by the Trust include:
The Trust handles donations, CSR partnerships, institutional collaborations, and public health interventions.
VOSD Pet & Vet Corporation Pvt Ltd is the commercial subsidiary owned by VOSD Trust. It builds a scalable veterinary infrastructure and translates more than 15 years of medical experience into structured care systems and sustainable revenue models.
Services include:
This structure ensures medical excellence is financially sustainable and not dependent only on donations.
The VOSD Sanctuary is a purpose-built campus spanning 7 acres with capacity for 2,000 dogs and expansion room for another 1,000.
The facility typically manages approximately 400 dog intakes each year and includes more than 250 enclosures across two floors covering more than 150,000 square feet.
Dogs are organised through cohort-based segregation, including social groups, behavioural care groups, and medical segregation units.
Enclosures range from 105 square feet single kennels to 1,200 square feet group spaces.
Residential facilities allow staff to live on campus, enabling round-the-clock monitoring.
The sanctuary employs more than 75 staff organised into four operational tiers.
The VOSD veterinary practice includes structured residency programs such as:
These programs provide continuous monitoring, CCTV transparency, daily veterinary updates, and structured discharge
documentation.
VOSD CloudVet™ is an AI-enabled national veterinary support network.
It integrates AI-assisted triage, a knowledge base derived from more than 650,000 treatments, and structured records from over 10,000 referral cases.
The system is accessible through WhatsApp, email, web chat, and web portal interfaces.
CloudVet™ helps reduce diagnostic delays and supports veterinarians and rescuers across India.

Founder & Managing Director - VOSD Pet & Vet Corporation Pvt Ltd
Rakesh Shukla is a first-generation entrepreneur and technologist who founded TWB in 2006, working with organisations such as Boeing, Airbus, DRDO, Tata Advanced Systems, and Israel Aircraft Industries.
Following the financial collapse of his business in 2014, he rebuilt his life and focused on building VOSD.
His philosophy is simple: Love is a verb. Compassion without systems fails, and systems without compassion become transactional.
The Indian companion animal sector is growing rapidly, but lacks institutional infrastructure.
VOSD aims to become a national veterinary quality benchmark, a public health collaborator, an AI-driven medical network, and a vertically integrated canine infrastructure platform.
Opportunities for collaboration include:
At the center of every layer, rescue, hospital, technology, products, and marketplace; is one constant: the dog on the street.
VOSD is not an NGO, not a hospital chain, and not a startup. It is an integrated institution for canine welfare and veterinary infrastructure built for India and designed to last.
VOSD is India’s expert on dogs across rescue, medicine, technology, and infrastructure, delivering lifetime care.
